WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR LENNAR STORY. I am creating a website to help spread the word regarding Lennar Homeowners experiences.

Please send me your story: MyLennarLemon@***.comMyLennarLemon.com (under construction)We purchased a $659k defective home from Lennar which cost me a job that I loved.Lennar never made right repairing the documented and agreed defects leaving us with no alternative than to seek legal counsel.Stuck with $100k in documented construction defects Lennar litigated the case to where we received nothing from arbitration. As a matter of fact we are out of pocket over $10k in legal and expert fees. Did I mention that almost 6 years later we are still living with a boarded up front door.

Because I would not sign a document that would limit us from taking Lennar to court for said defects. Lennar backed out and refused to pay me my severance/separation agreement of $21,417.20.In addition to not paying me my severance Lennar lost my expense report followed by my tools from work and I am forced to file a claim in small claims court to get my money.

I was a Lennar employee until I was let go after buying what we call "My Lennar Lemon". In March 2006 we closed escrow on our new Lennar Home. 5 years of litigation later we are left with $100k in documented construction defects. Lennar's realtor, Jody Evans did nothing to help. She was just gone, leaving us hanging. Customer Care didn't help us much either. Often the repairs that they made were even worse than the original defect…

We brought these issues and defects all the way up the Lennar management ladder. From Dale Billy (President) to Stewart Miller (CEO) and all that Lennar gave us was a whole lot of unresolved defects, lip service, huge legal costs, and "Zero" positive results.

But please, don't take my word for it…

Anyone is welcome to come by our home and see how Lennar has treated us. Before you buy, please come by and see exactly why.

You will not believe your eyes…

Your home is the most expensive purchase you will make in your life. After buying a Lennar home, I had a problem with one of my tiles on the floor.

After a year and a half I started hearing banging noises, not knowing where the noise is coming from. Upon searching my kitchen floor was cracked with a tiles. Called Customer Service no help. Now the cracking has continued going into my living area.

Now I’m talking about 25 tiles to be replaced. And that’s all I’m looking for is to get the tiles replaced not looking for the whole house to be replaced just the tiles that are cracked.

150 homes in our community have had problems and had tiles replaced. I am in my 80s and they continue to tell me it will cost me $1500 to replace them if there’s anyone that could help me, I would appreciate it.

We bought a 2006 model home from Village Builders two years ago. I guess we should have done some better homework, as our story so similar to those of others.

Two major water leaks because of improperly connected pipes, complete replacement of air conditioning units, rebuilding of the air vent to the dryer because it was sealed with exterior bricks ... Today, however, the clincher. I go to replace a light fixture, because it stopped working. No real surprise there anymore ...

until I remove the fixture and realize all is just screwed into the sheet rock with live wires through *** There was not even a junction box! This has to be building code violation.

Does anyone know how to start a class-action lawsuit?

bought home, major construction defects, litigated for 7 years, won arbitration, never collected a dime as they are way too good at it than us, lost home, noone would fix the $40,000 mistake made by Lennar.

would love to get the money the judge granted us, how do I do that?

I just bought a Lennar home, closed March 15th, 2025. And it’s been a living nightmare.

Although mine has to do with the GE appliances that Lennar uses in the new homes. I feel they should have properly inspected the working functionality of each appliance. In my case they evidently didn’t. Ten days after I moved in I used the gas range oven to cook a meal and lo and behold my home was consumed no by gas fumes.

I have never owned a gas stove before, so I thought it was gas going through the newly installed gas lines. I texted the sr customer care representative and to this day he’s never addresses this serious issue. On April 10th, 2025 I again noticed the presence of gas fumes again. I immediately reached out to the plumbing company who installed all the gas lines in this community (which is a brand new community).

And they outright told that I should call GE appliance repair. I did, and have since spoken to approximately twelve + reps and as of today 4/23/25 I still don’t have a new stove. To back up a bit earlier, I awoke at approximately 1:30 am on April 11th, 2025 to a strong presence of gas fumes throughout my entire home. Mind you this was not even a month after I moved in.

I called Universal gas company who immediately realized that this was a life or death situation and immediately dispatched one of their skilled, professional technician. He performed a thorough inspection both inside and outside of my home, and the stove. His findings were as follows: gas leak, carbon monoxide leak and burner valve not working properly. He immediately turned off the gas line connection to my stove.

However it took approximately four days of airing out my home to get that awful gas smell/odor gone. With the gas lines disconnected, fortunately I can now feel a little safer. I ended up going to the ER to get medically checked out. Being 75+ years young, and diagnosed with a history of upper respiratory illness, allergies and a heart condition, I didn’t want to take any chances.

Sadly to this day Lennar has NOT reached out to me or shown any human compassion for my situation. Lennar home are poorly built, they choose the cheapest appliance company GE and the do not check the appliances during the inspection process. I moved from out of state therefore I haft to hire a 3rd party inspector, who I paid upfront and in full to do all the inspections on my behalf. A huge safety hazard and life threatening situation is non of Lennar homes are equipped with gas/carbon monoxide detectors nor smoke detectors.

I believe this is a safety requirement for new homes. Especially when Lennar installed a tankless gas water heater and gas stoves in each home.

Still living through this nightmare as of April 23, 2025 with no resolution in sight. Unbelievable this is happening to me in the US in 2025.

This is sad. I've had multiple issues too.

I purchased a home in Bella Terra in Estero, Florida. I have complaints about repairs and follow up.

They send someone out, but nothing gets done. I don't have anything major, but I has a section of attic without insulation.

Leak in bathroom ceiling. Crack or chip in bottom of master shower, and trees that were in very bad shape when put in and died.

:cry after reading the complaints, so glad I did not buy a Lennar home.

We took ownership on our home in October 2003. We had minor issues, frustrating but not the end of the world. In 2009 I noticed water marks on the drywall in the garage. We called a roofing company and they said the roof had a flat spot so the snow and rain puddled on the roof. We called Lennar and they had someone come put a pitch on the roof. Now 2 years and 4 months later we have been sick with allergies and pnemonia so I started checking around the house. We have a ledge in our basement that happens to be the same wall in the garage and I found mold. I called Lennar to come look at it and they said its our problem because we are 4 months past the warranty period.

This company has no ethics, and they are so unprofessional. I called the headquarters customer care and he was just as rude as the local guys.

If the roof would have been properly installed when the house was built we would not have this problem. I am so shocked and appalled at how I was treated and spoken to. I've spoken to 3 levels of customer care employees including headquarters and they were all so rude. I wonder if this is how they are trained.

I'm not asking for medical bills paid and money... I just want them to fix the problem they created.

Almost 6 years and we still have a boarded up front door. We are stuck with $100k in construction defects. To make my story even worse is the fact that I worked for Lennar. Contact me with your story and I will post it on my website that I am currently putting together. We spent 5 years in litigation and all that happened was more expert costs, lawyer costs, to the point that we received nothing for our construction defects.

I want to hear your story. We all need to hear these stories in hope to make it right.

I agree that Lennar's standards are surprisingly inferior these days

as well as their sales and customer service.

I am a Broker with an interested client who never got a return call

back from the Sales Agent in San Elijo Hills, Terraza although I

have a pre-qualified Buyer which is unusual in this market.

They also seem to be using floor plans and elevations which are

highly out-dated.
