Lennar review in Las Vegas, Nevada: Words aren't enough

Never in my life have I seen so much amateurish work under one roof. Complete incompetence from start to finish on my new home in Las Vegas - do not recommend.

It's incredibly humorous just how much more often someone connects to a review site, only to vent or speak badly. No one ever stops to consider how *** and uncontrolled their allegations come across. Let's start with the facts. All of us have walked into a mcdonalds,...

Lennar is responsible. They hired these contractors and they obviously went with the lowest bid on everything.

It speaks to their business model. If they hired subpar contractors for my community then they will likely continue to do so. And I'm not talking about slight cosmetic defects.

In my cul de sac, 3 houses have had kitchen sinks fall into the cabinet because they weren't braced, several with missing insulation, one with a $2000 plumbing ground leak, electrical issues and many others. If they aren't vigilant with their selection process then you are taking a serious gamble.

In my opinion, Lennar LLC consistently refuses to abide by County and State Environmental Protection regulations requiring dust and dirt emissions be controlled by any type of suppression including water. The sub-contractor parks a water truck onsite, and VERY rarely...

As a contractor I can guarantee that your builder follows every EPA rule to the letter. There is too much at stake not to.

Your comment of 'damage to your property' as a result of wind blown dust, dirt, etc.

is ridiculous which is why no one has gotten back to you. Sometimes being ignorant is no reason to badmouth a builder that has done nothing wrong.

Was trying to buy a Lennar home in Reno and the purchase was contingent on the sale of my home. Lennar knew this and it was pointed out to them on several occasions. I put my house on the market, where it remains today, and Lennar is forcing me to sign a cancellation...

It really is up to the buyer to determine if they qualify for a home. Lennar building a house per contract based on the buyer selling their home is up to the buyer.

How is it the fault of Lennar that the buyer didn't fulfill their end of the contract? Does Lennar just sit on the house and pay interest until the buyer sells their house?

Customer service NEVER shows up on time or at all. Worst business practices I have ever seen. Quick to get you in the house, but no support and lack of follow up skills on the simplest issues once in the house.

We also bought a Lennar home in Reno, in 2006 and have had problems since Day 1. Stucco cracked and fell off in sheets, Lennar would patch over it without removing old stucco. This happened for several years before we finally had to hire an independent contractor...

I am sorry to hear of your experience, but I can tell you that I have had a wonderful experience buying a new home from Lennar and i realize that there is always two sides to a story and I am not sure I believe that you payed attention or did your research on buying a new home prior to this experience that you speak of. Lennar is one of the top builders in the country and they are still around and in business after the last real estate crash because of their ethics, customer care and service. Go buy a home from KB Homes, that will be an eye opener for you!

Lennar review in Reno, Nevada: Cold Water from Faucet Should Produce Cold Water, not Warm Water

We purchased a Lennar home approx. two months ago, and after living in the home we noticed the single-handled faucets in the kitchens and showers in bathrooms did not have cold water. The water temperature was warm and would never turn cold. In the showers, even when the water turns warm enough to bathe in, but if you flip the switch to shower, the water turns cold. We have contacted their so-called Lennar "Customer Cares" people to request repair. Their so-called experts have come and gone, tried various ways to solve the problems, but so far have been unsuccessful. All they can do is go through all the technical mumbo-jumbo to explain why this is the case, but they said there is nothing they can do to change the temperature of the water. A bunch of *** because the other faucets that have separate hot and cold water handles function the way they're suppose to: cold water handle puts out cold water, and hot water handle produces hot water. This is simply not acceptable. If any Lennar homeowner is experiencing similar problems, there has to be a solution, and the solution will not come from Lennar. Anyone have any idea/s what that solution might be?

This is the norm here where I live in Florida. Water lines are underground.

When it's 90 degrees plus out everyday this is what you get. In the winter months we do have cold, cold water because the air temperatures have dropped.

You have nothing to worry about, this is just the norm in the southern state. Enjoy.......

I had the same issue and they had to come and fix the issue in all of that bathrooms - tubs and showers. Other faucets worked fine.

Apparently it is a known problem but they only fix it if you complain.

we are in Virginia so they may need to contact the folks in VA to see what the issue is. It was an easy fix for the plumber.
