We bought a home from Lennar in Las Vegas last year. It is a brand new community and there are hundred of new homes to be built. The home was listed at 2516sqft but after close of escrow, our home becomes 2474 sqft on all public records and Clark County website.

Now we are trying to sell it but our home is more expensive than Lennar's as Lennar is still selling the same model at 2516sqft despite the county's appraisal is much smaller.

My relative bought another new home in Las Vegas with 2716sqft as sold but ended up only 2627sqft on county's appraised record. This builder is American West, Las Vegas. And that builder is also continuing to sell the same model at 2716sqft.

Do all builders in Las Vegas cheat on home buyers? Can anyone helps us to understand. We are from CA, and this doesn't happen in CA through our own experience and relatives or friends.

We would like to file a complaint as we felt being cheated on the purchases; as least we should help other new home buyers to be cautious when buying a new home in Las Vegas. Can anyone provide us any advisory, experience, directory etc? Really appreciate it!
