My daughter just bought a home from lennar had it built the cabinet doors in the kitchen were shotty some had hinges on the wrong side they were going to replace on cabinet they never came back to replace it.the guy that installed the carpet didn't sweep the floor before he installed it so the dirt you can feel when you walk across the carpet. The staples are half in on the carpet so you punchsure you feet when you walk across.the dryer is the worst they have been in the house only a month and a half and the dryer had been broken most of the time the company they got it from don't speak English only Russian and they fixed it and then it broke again. We called lennar and told them this is a faulty dryer and we need a new one they don't want to replace it

Feeling the tack strip on the carpet is normal. I highly doubt the carpet pad was stapled down.

The tack strip is necessary at doorways to keep the carpet from shifting and keep it tight. There is no way to prevent this other than installing a transition strip which people feel is ugly; this is why they are not provided. If there is a problem with the dryer, why is this the builders fault?

Did Lennar manufacture the dryer? Also, cabinets come standard with door swings in certain directions and door swing is really decided on practibility; who is making the determination that the doors are swinging in the wrong direction?
