Built a Lennar cookie cutter home in 2014 and sold in 2018. What initially appeared to be a quality built him home backed by sincere dedication to service turned out to be sub par construction with sub par materials.
It whittled the wrath of Irma, credit given due to the current building codes but that is about it. Bland, dressed up with occasional crown molding, granite counter tops that are below builder grade standards with multiple blems, rounded wall corners that peel away from the drywall after a year, sub par cabinetry, cheap builder grade appliances that included a dishwasher which NEVER dried dishes and was actually a mold factory, and the list could go on. Thankfully, I was able to sell the cracker box and make a few bucks on it.
Customer service was absolutely horrible and the punch out guy was some handy man in his 60's. I watched repair work being done and could have done much better myself.
Lennar never sent any sub contractors back to fix anything. It was always some general handyman who had nothing to do with the construction.
Now that Lennar bought out WCI, it can only go down hill even further with shoddy and deceiving customer service.
My recommendation to anyone considering buying a new home: find some property and build a custom home. You'll be glad you did.
