Lennar's Customer Care has been called twice to help fix the less than desirable work completed on our brand new home. Both times we were told that their work was not covered under warranty even though they are the ones that did the bad job, it was our responsibility...

A light switch in a hallway that was never installed means that the light in the ceiling in that room will not work. Therefore they are now in default of our intended closing date because just in this one case, sheet rock and repaint will have to be redone after their...

Update by user Nov 21, 2013

Since my post Lennar continued to say we were at fault for the mold issue. So we retained a lawyer. Further studies have concluded that Lennar and their contracted AC company violated Florida Building Code when they placed the over sized AC unit in our condo which...

I purchased a Lennar home in Florida in February 2013 with $30,000.00 down. I was told the home would be done not later than 15 August. They started building April 5th laying the foundation and block. June came, nothing done; July came, nothing done....I went by the...

Wow, your rate dropped by half a point, they must really hate black people. Did you know that new construction delays happen to white, Hispanic and Asian people also?

In the future, when you are building a new home, make it an issue to not annoy the foreman. or waste his time checking up on his wok twice a week.

Lennar has build issues and poor customer care/support

Bought house from Lennar new for ~1.1 million. Reported drainage problems within first month. Customer rep. blamed electrical box conduits and would not resolve issue leaving owner of the new home to seek solutions. Poor quality builder and no real customer care. The build quality is poor and they hide behind rushed final walk-throughs while focusing new owner of meaningless things like window screen drain holes. If you buy, you should insist on your OWN independent inspectors. Add passing of your inspectors as contingency for purchase. Inspect the interior, plumbing, electrical, appliances, wiring, flooring, windows, alarm, smoke detectors, exterior, garage vents, rain gutters, concrete cracks, landscaping, and drainage.

Lennar in Los Angeles, California - Not responsible

My home was built 8 years ago by Lennar. I have a deck on my house that was built using Trex materials. Trex lost a class action law suit and are only responsible for the materials. I did not build the deck myself. Lennar built it when they sold the home. I'm not sure how Lennar is not responsible to fix my deck??? Lennar was nice enough to call me and tell me the aren't responsible for these issues. Home builders like this are great. They get to call the shots on what they decide to repair or not...Thanks for the great service Lennar.

Lennar homes near power lines

I am a first time in my life home buyer and purchased a brand new lennar home near high tension power lines (about 300ft) in 2020 for the market price. After living there for six months, a friend of mine told me about the negative effects, related to the power lines, on health (specially on children's) and resale values. If I knew about these issues I'd never have bought the property. Is this something I can complain through a lawsuit? They made me sign something about the power lines at the last minute right before they gave me the keys. The form I signed talked about the humming noise but I don't remember anything about effects on resale values or health issues. If there is nothing much I can do through the law system I wonder what my options are.. Am I stuck?

If you are truly worried about the effect of EMR on you or your kids, you should refrain from televisions, computers, cellphones, alarm clocks, gaming controllers, handheld gaming devices, lights, iPods, stereos, headphones and everything else that uses electricity. In fact, just to be safe, you should go ahead and open up the circuit breaker to your new house and build a Faraday cage around your property just to be safe.

How the *** did Americans get to be so ***?

I'm in the same boat. The home I purchased is also near power lines and is there for ineligible for FHA refinancing.

I'm now stuck with a house I cannot resell.

Lennar - Avoid Lenar homes

Lenar homes suck! Shoddy materials, unlevel floors, cheap carpeting that doesn't last a year, and electrical wiring that poses a fire hazard. Their workmen leave beer cans in the air ducts or presents when they are too lazy to use a proper bathroom. They leave it to you to find any underlying problems they leave behind. Their response - if you can find them and get someone to talk - not our problem - what warranty? You could not pay me to live in one of their homes. They are crooks, liars, and thieves. May they all rot in ***.

I agree but we need to mobilize. Right now we are all individual victims and Lennar is building homes in 18 states.

They are not American and should be shut down. After you sign on the line you can forget any contact or communications they are gone and its our problem especially for the big problems. The building department just signs off on their work they don't even look at it.

I can go on and on my house is a storeage shed I can't even live in mine. Buying from them is the worst decision I have ever made.
